Brilliant Shoes for going over AFOs

We have struggled for years to find shoes to go over chunky AFOs for my daughter, often resorting to boys school shoes or trainers that we have had to stretch to within an inch of their life to get the splints in. I found these online recently and they are a game changer. They are easy to get on with the sturdy side zip and have the depth to fit splints in without over stretching them. They are very light weight and stylish. Will never look anywhere else for shoes again 😀.

My wife suffers with spinal problems , drop foot and swollen feet. She says they are very comfortable shoes (Excursion mid top), even with AFO fitted. They are so easy to put on - I put them on for her, and they are a lot easier to get her feet into compared to ordinary shoes.

A 4 1/2 month hospital stay and a diagnose of a very rare chronic neurological disease has left me with bilateral drop foot, reduced sensation, AFO’s plus weak tight ankle muscles. I was in tears buying and sending back multiple so called wide foot trainers. These have been a total game changer as they accommodate my AFO’s, are quick to don/doff, are comfortable and l actually like the look of them! I’m a neurological/stroke Occupational Therapist who will hopefully return to work at some point. It was heartwarming to see a fellow OT who created the company. Would definitely recommend! Received my trainers super quickly. So pleased. Very comfortable and by removing innersoles I am able to put orthotics in and fasten them unaided.
