50% of all proceeds of these charity socks goes towards the Purple Sock Day Fund to support disability enterprise and disabled entrepreneurs. Offering grants, professional advice, mentoring, networking opportunities and tailored business support.

We have been friends with social enterprise Parallel since we met them when we were just setting up Friendly Shoes, and are so impressed with the work they do to support the disability community to live life to the full in mainstream society.

The International Day of Disabled People aims to increase positive awareness of disability inclusion and support the rights and well-being of disabled people.

Purple Sock Day is partnering with the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE). The proceeds from each pair sold will help BASE focus on making a meaningful impact in the lives of disabled individuals by enhancing their employment opportunities through high-quality supported employment services.
