These shoes are very comfortable and deep enough to accommodate my orthotic insole. The only problem I have with them is that the silver disc covering the zip doesn't stay attached to the velcro and ends up flapping about when I walk. Best fit every will keep buying this shoe in different colours. Amazingly light, yet supportive. So easy to put on, without faffing with laces. Good grip on a steep grassy slope
At last a pair of shoes that can be adjusted to fit me and my AFO with longer Laces. These shoes have solved a longstanding problem for me, and I am very happy with them. Thank you friendly shoes, more colours for the summer please. Lovely shoes, just a bit narrow for my feet,(I must add my feet are unusually swollen),so I have ordered a different size and style. Good quality shoes, perfect fit over AFO's, with one out of the three insoles left in. I would highly recommend these shoes to any elderly person or disabled person. Are they comfortable but they're easy for the person to get on and off with the zipper in the back. Very comfortable and soft to wear. Love just the zip as opposed to ones with laces too. Thank you Good shoes for summer. They work with the splint I use on my foot/leg. Expensive but worth it. Happy with them Lovely soft socks that protects legs from cold hard splints. No marks on legs after wearing. We have been trying to find shoes that don't restrict our autistic son from stimming. He loves to tip toe and these shoes allow this movement with ease. I am amazed at how he can move in them. The front of the shoe is very flexible. They also are very easy to put on, as we have double knotted the lace (because they are a little long) this helps to just zip him in. He hasn't managed to kick them off (during any meltdowns at nursery or in his pushchair). He is 4 and non-speaking so it has been hard to find what works best for him. Other shoes were rubbing on his ankles when he was upset, but these haven't done this. He doesn't get upset when we are putting them on or anything.
I needed a supportive pair of shoes. My orthotist recommended Friendly shoes to me. They are incredibly comfortable and very stylish. They look great with trousers and skirts. Love these socks even though didn't receive 14 days ago, but 3 days ago after I queried when they'd be received. They are exactly what I was looking for with an almost invisible toe seam, perfect. We love these shoes. This is the second pair we have bought from friendly shoes - they are perfect for AFOs, comfortable, easy to wear and move in, cool patterns and colours. Highly recommend! My step-son has very flat feet and we’ve been through many trainers to find a pair that work with his insoles. We’ve bought our third pair from here and won’t be looking anywhere else as they are perfect. Any question I have, the team always respond quickly and with a clear answer. Can’t ask for more! Shoes are easy to use, very comfortable , cushioned and lightweight , help with my foot drop issues. Zip allows me to use shoes without help as laces are still hard. This is my second pair of these wonderful shoes. They have been such a help in that they can accommodate an orthotic, enable me to wear an AFO and have side zips making them so much easier to put on and take off as well as being lightweight so they are not tiring to wear. Everything has been thought of! These shoes are light, but sturdy, very comfortable and very easy to put on and take off. Had an operation on my bunion. These were so useful and comfortable. Think amazing idea. They are very nice looking and comfortable My 8 year old son wears splints and these shoes have the best fit we've ever found. They are wide enough to accommodate his AFOs and easy enough for him to zip on and off himself. Highly recommend 👌 Easy put on/off by carers, I have thich feet due to wheelchair bound and therefore always have difficulties in finding shoes that fit.. The boots look cool, have a solid feeling at te ankles and are light wheigt. I have Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and wear bulky Ankle Foot Orthotics. Finding trainers that are visually appealing and that fit my orthotics was always a huge challenge. Thankfully, my physiotherapist recommended ‘Friendly Shoes’! These trainers are stylish and look similar to other trainers on the market, the zip on the side also means I can fit my orthotics in with ease. I ordered multiple pairs to work out my size, I was able to return the incorrect size to the friendly team with no problems. Would 100% recommend to those who wear Ankle Foot Orthotics. Thank you Friendly Shoes! These shoes are so light and comfortable. The zip makes getting them on and off so simple. I love the details they just look like everyone else shoes! I showed them my neuro physio and she took note of the website to tell the team she was so impressed with them! They aren't too pricey which is great and you get so much for your money. I cannot fault them so glad I found these I hate shoe shopping as nothing us comfortable and side enough. I shall here from now on (even ordered another pair already) I purchased these to use as indoor slippers. They work well with my AFO braces, are easy on/off and cosy too.
The service/delivery was really prompt too
So I 've just ordered another pair in a different style; I just wish there was even more variety
They are easy to clean (as you can imagine a kid in nursery will get very messy). There is only a little wear on the front after a couple of weeks wear (but this is due to tip toeing). I would recommend these to any parents looking for a great school shoe for their autistic child/children.
